Using Baits to Kill Cockroaches

Cockroaches infest millions of homes in the United States. Getting rid of these pesky little bugs is most often an extremely difficult task. People will spend hundreds of dollars on pesticides and other bug killer products to get rid of the roaches in their home yet nothing really seems to work. A lot of these products contain chemicals that can be harmful to you and your family as well. One of the best ways to kill cockroaches is by using bait.

Cockroach bait contains a typically slow acting insecticide which kills an wipes out the roaches. Bait for roaches can be store bought but you can save money by making the bait yourself. One of the most effective roach bait is borax. Borax is known for its effective roach killing powers and is used by families across the country to clear their home of these pesky critters. Another good bait is a sugar water mixture with a couple drops of bleach.

The best way to get the roaches into the bait is by luring them with a piece of food. The food can be a couple pieces of cereal or half of piece of bread. The roaches will be attracted to the piece of food yet get stuck in the sugar water bait or consume the borax which will kill them. When roaches consume the borax they are going to appear slow and weak and eventually just die. Placing the borax bait around your home is important. Place it under furniture, in creases around appliances, and small cracks where roaches live most. Using roach bait is a simple and effective way to get rid of these little bugs that seem to be almost unstoppable. You will be amazed at the wonders that the bait will do for your home.
